Japan Pilgrimage II Day 6 - Guest Blogged by 浪迹天涯小狗

WARNING: Image Explosion..

To the Land of Dreams.. AGAIN!?

Previous trip here

Why oh why am I here during the orange-plagued Halloween season again!?

Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins.., am actually surprised to see a variation of the pumpkin invasion this time round. Goes to show how much ka-ching Disney pumps into maintaining the park during festivals (a one day holiday can be marketed into a one month event!).

Its Mistress's (& mine) 2nd trip but the virgin trip for the other 2 animals. Birdy was really excited and all hyped up over the visit while Mistress was simply on the other end of the scale with the lack of snooze.

Mistress having Melon Pan again~

Train tracks & foreboding skies (faked but it was rather gloomy thou)

Disneyland! With crowds of people (a bit too many)!

Mickey Bus spotted!

Dumbo!

ADULT (Ages 18 and over)----- 5,800 yen
That's S$92! Just for entrance!! It only cost S$74 the other time round!!!!

Halloween Displays 2010

Mickey!

RR went chasing after Piggy just to get a pic with him.
Literally chasing bcos he was running away from a LION!!
ヾ(≧▽≦)ノ

We were in time for the afternoon parade so we went looking for a place to watch. RR spotted her fren (no, not another lion..) across the road and ran over in excitement.

A groundsman teaching the moves to the audience before the parade starts.
~Obake obake~
Not before long, the music blasts the speakers and the parade starts rolling.

Minnie

Stitch

M-I-C-K-E-Y MOUSE~

Daisy Duck

Goofy & Pluto

Donald!

Mistress was simply using Continuous Drive and the shutter noisily clicking away continuously.

We continued our exploration after the parade and spotted a group of cosplayers Disney-fied.

Captain Jack is on the line..
But this fella did a very good impression of Captain Jack. Too bad Mistress wasn't able to get a shot cos he/she was talking on the phone facing the other way for quite a while.

Disney's fairytales re-enacted in mosiac form.

Schwaroski castle

Craftswoman at work

Been "constructing" since Mistress was here the other time round..

Whose giant tea cup is this?

Donald says,"疲れた!"

Hoards of people..

The Bicycle Man!

Bird's relatives

Meat wrapped in star shaped mantou.
We got a bit hungry and simply plonked ourselves into the nearest cafe that had seats.
Errm.. Definitely overpriced and its not nice at all!

Spotted princesses having their meals.

It was a freaking cold day with the wind blasting cold cold air at us coupled with occasional downpour and all the animals were doing were hopping from shop to shop or finding some shelter.
Only knew that night from the news that Typhoon Chaba is approahing Japan, althou quite a distance away from where we were.

Hmm.. Are we supposed to waste more?

The animals went for a show since they dun intend to freeze themselves to death on any rollercoasters. Good for occupying their time, resting their feets, hiding from the natural elements as well!

The classic Disney characters.

I can't remember these were from which cartoon..

A Bug's Life? or was it Antz?

Acrobatic ants. Those balls are actually fixed to the bodies! HAHA~

Tap-dancing ants

Captain Hook

Peter Pan!

Woooo...

Sleeping Beauty

Donald Duck!

Chip & Dale!

The Star of the show!
The dash to escape from the wind continues when the show ends.

Halloween Band

Wet, wet wet!

The shopping/dining street. Rightfully should be the last area to visit but the rain jus shifts everyone here.

Cinnamon Stick. Dry but yums warmly on the cold day.

The animals went for the Pirates of Caribbean indoor ride, which again, has the shortest queue and also for the fact that, again, its indoor! Its also the animals' only ride taken..

The once 140 min waiting time queue became a mere 15 min wait before we boarded a gondola. Guess the hype is over.

Pooh!

Mistress gave a lot of 100 yen coins to the machine above again, despite saying that she doesn't wanna get these anymore.

Hey! Its got 2010 inscribed on it! *tong* goes in a hundred yen..

Wild ride ahead? hahhaha

Stopped for dinner at the place with the least queue (not surprisingly..), which still had us waiting for close to 20 min to get to the counter, get our food, find an empty table!

Not as nice as the display at the entrance..

Went for another show after dinner to pass some time while waiting for the night parade.
This time, Stitch is the main character, with talking flowers, birds, totem poles even!

Proceeded to camp for the night parade and din get a very good spot. Wonders for how long those sitting there have been braving the cold winds!?

The night parade starts!

Beauty & The Beast!

Donald's carriage.

As the closing fireworks and the night parade doesnt come together, we had another half an hour or so to waste again.

Spotted a groundslady drawing a portrait of Goofy while Mistress was on her way to the ladies.. with WATER!

Woooooo... very nice!
Thankfully someone else's flash lit up the drawing for Mistress. HAHA~

Finally the closing fireworks that Mistress had been waiting the whole day for.

OK. Not impressive as its not choreographed with the castle in the background & no space for Mistress to use her tripod that she has been lugging for the whole day and so she has to use her hands which means she can't use long shutters, blah blah..
Disneyland HK wins on this aspect.

Saying bye bye to the park and getting back to our hostel in the cold wind..

If you imagine these as 100 yen coins, there's like more than S$20 here...

The night was so cold that the animals actually turned on the heating function for the aircon.. brrrr..
